I will note that a lot of the accounts advocating violence in Stancil's mentions have no more than a few dozen posts and are either new accounts or dormant accounts that recently started posting again.
I don't want to amplify this account but I do want to point out that actually Gandhi's nonviolence worked out pretty well

The video footage appears to show that the gun was taken away from the man before he was shot.
He was UNARMED before any of the shots were fired.

Reminder: All it would take to end the murder of American citizens by an untrained government goon squad is 16 Republicans in Congress voting with Dems to defund ICE (or 23 to impeach and remove Trump — 3 in House & 20 in Senate). That’s it. 23 Americans can vote for the public and end all of this.

I don’t think there was a clash though. I think people gathered there to yell at ICE and got tear gassed.
It has gotten so bad that the @nytimes.com has stopped using the passive voice to describe the violence.

it’s easy to be angry online
I've seen this a lot and honestly, I don't care about the national politicians. Every Minnesota Democrat has explicitly supported the movement. Every one participated (Walz, I'm told, was in a church helping organize food donations, which is also the work), mostly in the streets.
Yes, and it’s amazing how little public expressions of support they get from elected officials.
