To me, the only obvious disadvantage to Twitter (other than frequent operational failures, the intentionally addictive and soul destroying qualities, and the fact that it was purchased by a fascist to turn it into the world's most powerful propaganda machine) is the total lack of Nick Kranz. 🤷‍♂️

That's pretty much what happened over the past two days and people still aren't coming.

That said... there are some people who would rather be at the nicer, quieter bar and enjoy a better drink regardless of where everyone else is. I guess that's what BlueSky is for.

Mostly because everyone is there, and active. Not just the Cal people. Everyone.

Twitter is like a bar where the music is too loud and the bartenders suck but everyone you know and lots of people you wanna talk to are there having fun. BlueSky is like a bar that's clean, well-run, and mostly empty.

This is sad.

Sacramento is a great city, worthy of professional sports. A city that turns up in big numbers for a mostly disappointing NBA team.

Sacramento absolutely could support MLB baseball.

But not like this. Not in a minor league park. Not for a horrible owner. And not at Oakland's expense.

It probably won't.

Unfortunately, when it functions correctly, Twitter is just a far superior experience.

It's a buggy mess at the moment, and the mass exodus many predicted/hoped for still isn't happening.

Yes, Elon sucks, but that isn't enough to motivate most people to move here.

One of many things I love about Mina is that she's a great litmus test for whether football fans are knowledgeable.

If you don't respect Mina you don't know ball. It's that simple.
