When I stood as parliamentary candidate in Exeter last year, I pretty much knew it was a safe Labour seat.
No more.

I'm Jewish. I'm also Mancunian.

Every other national party leader was interviewed by Laura Kunesberg during their conference.

Maybe the BBC thought as someone who also supports Palestine - I had nothing to say?

Following recent ‘freedom of speech’ rallies, protests and the increase of anti-migrant rhetoric, together with protests outside hotels in Devon housing people seeking asylum, Exeter Green Party has issued a statement of solidarity with those seeking asylum.
A graphic which reads: We stand in solidarity. Exeter Green Party stands in solidarity with all people who are using their right to seek asylum, who may have fled violence and persecution and experienced unimaginable trauma. Exeter is a City of Sanctuary.

We also stand in solidarity with all people, groups and communities who may feel unsafe or unwelcome as a result of recent rallies and protests held across the UK.

💚 GREEN WIN 💚
Exeter City councillors unanimously back Green motion pushing South West Water to clean up its act 💩

As a result Exeter residents should have a clearer idea about what/when the water company will invest to make the River Exe clean and safe for people and nature.

Labour's angry words towards Israel mean nothing. Here's evidence of their complicty in genocide and ethnic cleansing.

Two of our Green councillors in St David's ward @dianafmoore.bsky.social and @tessread.bsky.social have lodged a formal objection to the planned 300-bed six storey co-living development on the site of the former Mary Arches car park in Exeter City centre.
The graphic reads: Labour's co-living rooms are NOT wanted, NOT needed, NOT affordable. There is a short quote: "Exeter city centre needs genuinely affordable housing built to the highest standards, that is adaptable to climate change, while protecting and increasing nature."

These are our young people - passionate, articulate, committed to a better world. But still some people (usually on the Right) say they shouldn't have the vote. 🤦
exetergreens.bsky.social
🥳Young Greens in #Exeter give their reaction to the vote being extended to 16 & 17 year-olds – empowering young people, giving them a voice and responsibility.

🗳Now for a fairer proportional voting system so that the votes of young people – and everyone else – really count.

"People in #Exeter with disabilities have the right to live with dignity and respect. PIP payments are essential for many to live independently and to participate in work, education and society. Removing it will deepen hardship and cost more in the long run." - Cllr Carol Bennett
A droopy rose with text: Did Exeter’s MP Steve Race join at least 120 Labour rebels in opposing cruel cuts to disability payments?
Clue: Some months ago he signed a letter to Liz Kendal, Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, saying how much he supported the welfare reforms.
