Messy ass Steddie where Eddie falls for Steve bc Steve flirts with him, without realizing that Steve flirts with literally everything that breathes (not even on purpose, just as a personality trait).

When it comes out that Eddie has a thing for him, Steve's like "why?" which goes over SO well.

eddie goes commando sometimes when he's short on clean laundry and it's not like anyone is gonna notice anyway. he already sits out of gym and he hasn't even had his first kiss yet in this bumfuck town, much less anything else. it just makes sense to skip the underwear, let himself breathe.
