Trahearne spoke up on her behalf. While Koni alone had little influence, *he* was extremely well respected, and his insistence that she was more than capable led them to (reluctantly) agree to her becoming the Pact Commander.

22. Koni isn't actually part of any of the Orders when she became Commander. But Kvey and Laranthir vouched for her on behalf of the Vigil (the Secondborn already a decent acquaintance of hers at the time), while Nae did so on behalf of the Priory. The Whispers had their own reservations, but 🔽
