(It's hopefully fairly clear I'm being facetious, haha. Overpaintings of older drawings are incredibly fun, in an oddly satisfying way - though wildly inefficient. Only something I can really justify doing in personal art with no deadlines. A small indulgence!)

One more overpainting of an older drawing, but this changed pretty drastically from the initial concept. Redrew the face, and I'll probably do the same with the hand (one might argue I should just start a new drawing, but I like to suffer)

Ahh thanks Silv! Expressions have been something I haven't practiced as much as I probably should have before, it's motivating hear they appeal to you on these pages!

Vines are still endlessly fun to draw for some reason, haha!

(I rewrote "desist" in particular a bunch of times before this version - I'm still not 100% happy with it, but it's the strongest version of all my attempts lol!)

LOL I have to admit, this is one of the "I need to draft vines in earlier" pages, haha. I'm glad you like the font choices! I spend a surprising amount of time on them, because I've always found typography tricky/not intuitive--

Turned out so beautiful! The filtered moonlight through the trees adds wonderful atmosphere. Really makes it feel like we're seeing a glimpse from a larger scene.

Thanks Kyris! :D This page was so fun to do, it was one of the earliest drafts I ever made for the comic! When I sketched the final panel, I wasn't sure at the time if I would even be able to draw that (the perspective was a little tricky for me) - I don't think I could have at the time I drafted it

It's sort of fascinating seeing how unbelievably out of touch and disdainful they are of their users. Though personally it's incredibly disappointing because I was hopeful about this place for a while. Ugh!

My friend's been working on her graphic novel memoir this year, and she just finished the first drawing pass!

I read an earlier version when it was about 10 pages from completion - it's an uplifting story that I think many will relate to! But especially those with experience in chronic illness.

October 4, 2025 marks the date I finished drawing all the pages for Beyond the Road! 🎉 Beyond the Road is my 80+ page graphic novel memoir about rediscovering adventure with chronic illness, told through the lens of a 4-day camper van trip. While I’ve worked on comics in the past (White Angel Vol 1 is still available to read on Tapas), this marks a personal milestone for me since it is my first fully self-contained and full-color book.

WG is a forum where you can discuss at length tv, movies, books, new releases, metatextual topics, post and discuss art, post tutorials etc, read up in threads, which will not just vanish but stick around for a bit. try it!
