I'm very excited to announce "The Harbinger's Path," a Trahearne and Malyck Guild Wars 2 fan comic!

I've made a little preview page over at Landylachs.com/harbinger with more info coming soon!

Cover for "The Harbinger's Path," a Trahearne & Malyck Guild Wars 2 fan comic. The cover shows Trahaerne with arms open wide, as sylvari below extend their hands toward him. We can see Malyck in the crowd of sylvari, among other characters from the franchise.

--and I want them to match the scene and not detract - really cool to hear you like how they turned out here!

(I rewrote "desist" in particular a bunch of times before this version - I'm still not 100% happy with it, but it's the strongest version of all my attempts lol!)

LOL I have to admit, this is one of the "I need to draft vines in earlier" pages, haha. I'm glad you like the font choices! I spend a surprising amount of time on them, because I've always found typography tricky/not intuitive--

How kind of Trahearne! That's our considerate Marshal.

Turned out so beautiful! The filtered moonlight through the trees adds wonderful atmosphere. Really makes it feel like we're seeing a glimpse from a larger scene.

Aw thanks so much Kampi, you're too kind with your words <3

Oh I'm not surprised, I've never been very adept at this whole social media thing ;p

Glad you caught it today, though! :D

Aw thanks, it's really encouraging to hear you think so! :D

Thanks Kyris! :D This page was so fun to do, it was one of the earliest drafts I ever made for the comic! When I sketched the final panel, I wasn't sure at the time if I would even be able to draw that (the perspective was a little tricky for me) - I don't think I could have at the time I drafted it

Thanks for summarizing, I appreciate it! I ended up looking into it a bit last night, but you added some points I didn't know. The level of disdain this site's management has been showing toward their users is pretty galling. Real disappointing to see. D:

Looks gorgeous! I appreciate your dedication to detail in using materials available at the time. :D

Malyck seems upset!

As mentioned last week, mild advisory for violence this page. Nothing graphic, but please use your discretion, as it might be considered more intense than past pages.

Panel crop showing a close-up of Malyck's face looking down toward the viewer. Text read: "-why do you still resist?"

It's sort of fascinating seeing how unbelievably out of touch and disdainful they are of their users. Though personally it's incredibly disappointing because I was hopeful about this place for a while. Ugh!

My friend's been working on her graphic novel memoir this year, and she just finished the first drawing pass!

I read an earlier version when it was about 10 pages from completion - it's an uplifting story that I think many will relate to! But especially those with experience in chronic illness.

I'm curious to look it up but also don't want to fall down a rabbithole of posts tonight lol, maybe i'll see if i can look into it more tomorrow

okay. I've tried this before but maybe it'll stick.

WG is a forum where you can discuss at length tv, movies, books, new releases, metatextual topics, post and discuss art, post tutorials etc, read up in threads, which will not just vanish but stick around for a bit. try it!

Thanks! I like using this color a lot and have been meaning to make something more presentable with it lol (mostly using a bunch in sketches/wip's), encouragement for potential future artworks :D

Ahahah, amazing lol

I'm not learning from past experiences xD

I do like using this color a lot! :D I've used it in a few drawings this year that were too loose to post here
landylachs.com
I just spent time drawing ferns and other foliage to add more context to this panel's background, only for the panel to end up working better having all those parts be in shadow :'D

I'll keep them there but they're basically invisible now lol

Ahh thanks for covering this Inkwell! I've been hearing from tabling artists that it's been a pretty bad issue at some cons this year. Didn't realize there've been multiple videos made about the topic, glad more awareness about it is being spread.

Hope your video is successfully appealed soon!

Cleaning up this page today :D

The colors aren't what we'll see in the final comic - it's just a bright color to more easily see what I'm masking.
