As for the movie itself, it was one of a slim collection of VHS tapes we had when I was growing up, and the only monster movie we owned, so it was on regular rotation. I saw all the sequels (and the prequel) decades later, but they pale in comparison.

As longtime fans know, I've been drawing 8-bit movie posters for nearly a decade, and I'm pretty good at them. When I drew this one, though, I got that feeling like I hit a grand slam. It's one of my all-time favourite drawings, and one of my most popular! #Halloween
