I'm planning (hoping?)to move back to Seattle proper in March, and despite this being my 4th move since June 2020, this is actually the first one GVD will have experienced with me? Which is also to say, dude doesn't know what he's in for the next ~10 weeks. Somebody might wanna tell him!

After this week the big packing projects will be:

1) Bedroom - easy; mostly clothes to throw in a wardrobe box
2) Bathroom - annoying but doable
3) Kitchen - hard; but friend will help
4) Living/Workspace odds &ends - annoying but doable
5) whatever tf's in deck storage - scary, might be spiders!

Today (if I have energy leftover) or tomorrow, I'll also pack up all my fragile decor ish from the bedroom and living room... I'll take those boxes with me when I get the keys and see the place in a couple weeks!

Today's big project is to sort through my bedroom and closet and take what I can to Goodwill... so all that will be left is whatever's in the kitchen/laundry room, which friend will help with!

Company #3 said they have a 6500lb minimum. So. That partially explains the discrepancy.

Company #1 only gave an hourly rate, even if we drive around. Legal? Idk!

I received 3 wildly different estimates from the movers I spoke to, and now I don't know how best to proceed.

Company #1 ~$1050 if drive around, ~$1400 if we ferry
Company #2 ~$1170 if hourly/ferry, $2100 if by weight/drive around
Company #3 ~2065 if hourly/ferry, ~$4327 if by weight/drive around

~Apparently~ all of my "you can see Seattle if you squint hard enough" posts from Point No Point have been Wrong™, unless you count Everett/Mukilteo/Edmonds (not actually sure which but my current guess now is Edmonds) as Seattle, 😅
