8/ People like Feucht or Wallnau or Wilson or Wolfe or Daws or Basham who easily and capriciously dehumanize fellow Christians by calling them "demons" ... are easily capable of committing homicide in the name of God. Human nature is, after all, consistent.

3/ The magisterial Protestants who persecuted and executed Manz (and others like him) insisted, as many do today (hi, Christian Nationalist heretics) that civil and ecclesiastical authority should, essentially, be one.

2/ To make a long story short, Manz was executed ... not by extremists of another faith ... but by his own brothers and sisters in Christ who disagreed on a minor point of doctrine. His murder wasn't about wrongdoing. It was about people refashioning Christianity in their image.

1/ Food for Thought: My son and wife joined me on a work trip over the summer in Switzerland. Did some preaching, a few lectures, and finished some archival research. Along the way we did a little sightseeing, and managed to visit the site of Felix Manz's execution.

He’s wrong. The current tentative agreement is nothing more than a rehash of agreements going back 40 years. It is meaningless. Within a year someone on one side or both will start shooting again. The situation isn’t changeable.

4/ So in the end, what does that mean? It means that the medicine that keeps me alive is something MAGA *will* take away.

MAGA’s idea of health care is a high body count. Unsurprising considering their treatment of migrants, innocent Gazan kids, etc.

MAGA is an ideology of death.

3/ We have good insurance.

The specific medicine I take costs around 55k a month. If MAGA gets their way, insurance will immediately stop covering it. If you know anything about clergy salaries, you know why this is an issue.

2/ At the end of summer, I went through a health crisis that nearly killed me. Came out of nowhere. I’m still in recovery from it. The drugs I’m taking, right now, literally keep me alive. Our insurer notified us Johnson/Trump’s bill, if it passes, will drastically alter our coverage.

1/ Johnson isn’t just a liar, he’s a damnable liar. Shameful. MAGA had Congress under Trump several times and still refuse to reform healthcare. November wouldn’t alter that.

This is lunacy: they had a health care plan, and they implemented it in H.R.1.
It includes work requirements for Medicaid, and the cutting of ACA subsidies that will cause millions to lose health insurance. That was the plan!
