I remember first learning of Jane Goodall as a child, and become obsessed with her work. Then, as a university anthropology undergrad, I got to go deep into her world via formal study. She has always been a wise observer and advocate for an ethical world. RIP to a great woman.

I wonder what the “success outcome” is for these sites?

How will we know they are “working” and not just imprisoning people for a medical condition?

I am very, very worried about the path these involuntary care sites are taking us, & wish the funds were going to supported housing instead.

B.C. Premier David Eby has just announced the creation of two more involuntarily care sites: one in Prince George and one in Surrey.

This will double the number of sites in the province, and Eby said his goal is to have them in every region of the province.
