Unbelievable.

Very few things piss me off more than anti-vax morons killing their children.

You think wealth inequality is bad now? In two years, this planet will be economically unrecognizable, as AI tech wealth is streamlined into a handful of pockets while hundreds of millions of people are suddenly rendered unemployable. Yes, two years. The "Big Compression" is coming: 2028-2033.

Ladies and gentlemen, the drunken Secretary of Defence declares war against a sitting Senator, former naval aviator, former astronaut, and one of the most impressive and fearless living Americans.

We do live in the dumbest timeline.

I predict this will not be enough to convince some people:

285 studies
132 million people in real-world data

~80% reduction in cervical cancer when given before age 16
No increase in serious adverse events @drjengunter.bsky.social

My 5-year old: "Dada, why are my testicles in a little bag?"
Me: "Well, they have to be kept at a constant temperature. So, when it's cold outside, your body brings the bag closer to make it warm. And when it's hot, it moves away to get cool."
5-yo: "So I can tell the temperature with my testicles?"

IPV = injected, cannot cause polio
OPV = oral, small risk of causing polio

OPV only used in some very poor countries where wild polio is endemic for two main reasons: 1) it's easy to get to many people fast, 2) it actually blocks transmission, so can slow an epidemic.

Global shift to IP underway.

Most kids ask for lullabies or bedtime stories. Tonight, to get him to sleep, my 5-year old insisted that I speak endless streams of nonsense in a Jamaican accent.

Seriously, this is what he wanted. And it worked. Out like a light.
