introducing myself on bsky - hi all, welcome! i'm alice, i'm a character designer who likes dark fairy tales and vintage and fantasy aesthetics! one day i hope to tell my original stories in comics 🖤🤍

other languages - is sth i did NOT want to do (tb to when i was 11 and exposed to some post online explaining that "Laputa" the ghibli movie meant sth funny in a language that wasn't english)

anyways Robin from One Piece is a huge insp for this chara, so hoping the "unisex name" vibe sticks!

Ash's name used to be Athena but i no longer wanted such a strong connotation to existing charas (i.e.: Greek mythology) since i'm making a fantasy world, but at the same time i didn't want to make up names of my own. the amount of research i'd have to do, to ensure names aren't swear/taboo words in
