I'm a little behind, but my submission is in for #PitchDis! It was really organic for me to portray my chronic illness in the character of Lauryl in The Promise of Darkness. I love how strong she remains even as the world (and her own magic) aims to destroy her. 🔥❤️

My first September Write-A-Thon update is on the light side, but I did finish the first chapter (this was my main goal) and I think I have a good start at the FMC's voice, which I expected to be harder because it's an existing character aged up and it's not my usual tense.
