Slippery conditions on the HampsteadHeath #Parkrun today. But a lovely autumnal day in London.

It was good to meet the Minister for Law in Singapore, Edwin Tong, to discuss the importance of creativity in education and how data, AI and digital technologies are impacting creativity in both positive and negative ways www.facebook.com/watch/?v=119...

Amazing concert by Julie Fowlis and fellow musicians this evening. This is the third time I’ve heard Julie in London this year - at the Southbank, Pavilion and here at Cadogan Hall. Each concert has been different and each so inspiring.

Pleased to join the AI Global Summit at Friends House, Bloomsbury, London today. Packed auditorium!

Thanks Sue. Hope you’re well!

Had a great meeting at the Singapore Ministry of Education today with the team that oversee education research, including Dr Teh Laik Woon. Advancing the Science of Learning in Singapore

After a hard days work, a lovely dinner with colleagues. Pleased to participate in the review of the Science of Learning in Education Centre, a research centre within the National Institute of Education in Singapore.

The research I presented is a collective effort with my close collaborators and distinguished researchers Dr Francisco Duran del Fierro, Prof Eileen Kennedy, Dr Louise Chisholm from ICL and Dr Koula Charitinos from the OpenUniversity.

Honoured to be invited to present an open seminar at the National Institute of Education Singapore, as DrRuth Wong Visiting Professor. I discussed social & cultural barriers faced by professionals as they use data and digital technologies, reflecting on implications for teachers.

Gardens by the Bay, Singapore. I’ve seen many photos of the gardens but they have to be seen (in person) to be believed. Absolutely stunning.

AI is dreaming up millions of new materials. Are they any good?
Critics slammed attempts by Google, Microsoft and Meta to speed up materials discovery. But behind the hype, there is progress.
