You know what I just did to counter that negativity (that really brought me to tears when I got home)? I sent 500 reward points to a colleague for his good work on a special customer project. I hope he buys something nice with it.

I should clarify that it was the impatient driver of the Hyundai SUV that was aggressive here. The dump truck should not have been in the passing lane though.

Since lockdown in 2020, I've noticed that people everywhere drive with more aggression and carelessness. The pedestrian and cyclist fatalities are out of hand. We've made cars safer for drivers but not safer for those outside of the cars.

Last night, an impatient driver tried to run me off 28-N. I was in the right lane going slightly above speed limit, and a dump truck refused to pass me on the left. The guy drove aggressively close to my trunk and wailed on his horn. I thought for sure I was going to be rear-ended in my new SUV.

For trick or treat, I usually spread candy and non-candy items across a large table. I may change that up this year and do goodie bags so I don't lose 50 mini pots of Play Doh in the first ten minutes like last year. Or skip candy and just hand out Play Doh.

Just want to remind everyone that little moments of joy are so important right now.

For instance, my cat does not understand the human concept of kisses beyond Incoming Nose = Love. So every time she’s happy, she’ll smush her face or shove her nose into ours.

This year, I've learned that the 365 license can read your entire corporate tenant. I can ask Copilot when a colleague started at their job and it can tell me. It can summarize emails you don't even have open. It has legs you can't even see.
