The game kept dangling it over me, then tugging it away with another conflict, again and again, but it never felt old. I expected the game to end several times, but no, they just kept going with more content. And it WORKED! 🧵

This game is a solid two hours about people with terrible scars learning to move past their wounds. The story doesn't make it easy on them (or the player, toward the end). I was invested in them having a happy ending. 🧵

I locked myself out of two of the characters and I didn't want to have to redo the game to see them. You can avoid that mistake if you want to see everything. You can even reset the game if you want to try different things.

You could spend 20 minutes on this game, or hours!

The music is good, but what really clicks for me is the writing: it does an amazing job balancing the strangeness of this world with its intimacy elements. I had a lot of unanswered questions after I completed my route (Yiestol, obviously), but I don't think I need those answers to love this VN.

This visual novel is so sweet and heartwarming! I like how it evolves from a superficial gag to introspection on balancing care for yourself with care for others. We even get a polycule route! I loved all the characters and I loved this game!

That does so much to convey the mood, even if no character has a portrait. And the MUSIC! If the story wasn't giving me chills by itself, the music took care of that. Highly recommend giving this game a shot.

I also have to compliment how the game expands the story through flashbacks, letters, and memoirs. Everything is accompanied by some gorgeous and gruesome sprite-work or somewhat abstract art.🧵

I couldn't even defeat the penultimate boss without going back to Easy Mode. But the fact that the has an Easy Mode is great for anybody who just wants to enjoy the story.

You can play the game on normal mode if you want a challenge. Every creature and boss encounter are finely-tuned to require the most out of your skills.

I'll decide whether to finish it now or pick it up when I'm around games that are near its length. Either way, I'm excited. The style is VERY different from anything that I've played and I can just FEEL that the prologue story leaves a ton of unanswered questions. 🎃

Oh wow, that's a much longer commitment than I expected! Not a complaint. I was just playing my games from shortest-to-longest. I had no idea the final version has so much more content. The one on the website is just the First Slice and Second Helping.

Yep! It's about an hour long to play through the game, but that's also broken up between three perspective characters, so the time goes by quickly.
