for good or bad, i remember watching it so many times as a kid. it was one of those. (VHS days. Latchkey days.)

it had Sam Shepherd and Harold Ramis and a secluded home and the frustrations of doing things alone until.

we didn't grow up using dogs for security, so much. i still find that part of dog-parenting disorienting. and fascinating. and understandable.
