He doesn't just think he's the king of the USA, he thinks he's king of the world. By the way, as an LA-adjacent person who wanted to volunteer for the Olympics, my enthusiasm for doing so now is about zero. If that's shared by a lot of others in and around LA, who knows if they'll be prepared.

Because when they catch up to you, they brutally throw you on the ground and sit on you. If they simply politely but firmly asked for ID, maybe it makes sense not to run, but the more likely result is a beat-down.

One of the attributes Nobel specified in awarding the Peace Prize was bringing people together. Trump has called half of his fellow citizens "vermin," and wants to use the US military to practice its "lethality" on Americans. That may weigh more heavily than a brief ceasefire and 20 hostages.

Over the weekend ICE barred a Catholic priest from offering communion to any Catholic detainees. Is that over the line, or will only Protestant/Evangelical religious observance be acceptable to Holy Mike?

Most fascists would look to the US under Trump to lead the fascist movement and she can recognize he's not exactly inspiring or stable. Either that or she's standing close enough to smell some things.

The feds don't consider the detainees to be human, so why should they permit detainees human things like religious observance? And very recently, Trump said that anyone anti-Christian was a terrorist. Somebody should tell ICE this seems awfully anti-Christian. Or aren't Catholics Christian now?
