This doc is truly important — if also a bit *quaint* when viewed two years after its debut: the toxic Takeover of venerable US local / regional legit news outlets by #AldenCapital and other immoral Hedge Funds expertly described in “Stripped for Parts” now pales to what’s happening in 2025. 🥺🆘 📰

Yep. Even more impressive when you consider that since the Silent Movie era of #Hollywood, young folks from across the nation flooded into #SoCal seeking “acting jobs.” I’ll read #DianeKeaton’s autobiography, but as of now, based on her Obits today, seems to me that she sought Substance over Flash.🙌🏾

*In my era (decades after #DianeKeaton’s pro journey began), I did the Same reverse-engineering Math: an #SF Native who opted to leave #CA for the East Coast early in my pro career. The #WestCoast news biz—for all its alleged *liberalism* — was unfriendly to “non-traditional” practitioners like me.

Yes, she co-starred many times w the problematic director / writer / actor I won’t name BUT: included among my Top 5 #DianeKeaton film performances are “Sleepers,” and (obvs!) “Annie Hall.” Remaining three of my Top 5 #DK film performances are “The First Wives Club” and “Reds.” So many great roles🙏🏾
