Stunning. And a sign that something is very wrong.

The idea that people are so self centered that “it doesn’t matter until it happens to me attitude” ~ disgusts me.

Imagine that

I try not to internalize vaccine refusal as a failure on my part. Rather, I leverage this as an opportunity to have a conversation about the vaccine I am offering and answer question the person may have. This hopefully plants a seed for more favorable outcomes in future visits.

In clinic today only 1/8 folks agreed to flu vaxx. Some days are like this. The reasons for refusal:
" the shot makes me sick"
" I have weekend plans I don't want anything to mess that up"
" I don't think I need it"
" I have never had the flu"
" there are too many shot doc"
" Let's do it next time"
