Each is determined to find the other, and soon both Rose and the Doctor are risking life and limb to escape in their distinctive styles. But their dangerous plans are complicated by some old enemies. I read through the entire New Adventures novel series in the '10s and made it a ways into the Eighth Doctor Adventures before I fizzled out.

Religiously, I would read the I, WHO entry after each book and marvel at what author Lars Pearson had recorded about that novel.

Looking forward to this episode! I listened when it came out. I adore Kate Orman & Michael Troughton’s reading!

Overall enjoyed it, but with some reservations. Struggled with some of the sci-fi concepts that felt more 2023 than 1966, which took me out of the story. Can’t wait for your review!

My current reading. This book reprints material from early Doctor Who annuals from Hartnell through to Tom Baker (no Davison). One Pertwee text story has the Doctor fight against a Kelad, a robotic creature whose name spelled backwards will be familiar... This predates the Kaleds in Genesis.

The book will feature over 300 pages of Peter McKinstry's concept art for the iconic series.

Fear Death By Water by Emily Cook is an excellent #DoctorWho adventure, a different kind of celebrity historical. It left me thinking about fame as an ouroboros, and using history and genealogy to rewrite generational trauma. It also has a reference which brought a smile to this old timelashologist…
