Thank you for this; I had no idea. What meaning I now can attribute to this painting. Sad & wonderful at the same time. 🍉🎨

Very interesting - I’ve never seen them before. There must be a story behind that empty chest. ( like no heart or soul ). 🤔

🥹 I’d be crying having to leave her there.🤍

Oh these kitties look happy & healthy and so beautiful in all the colors of the city. I love seeing pics of kitties on people’s travels. I imagine you’re going to absolutely enjoy the Frida museum.

She definitely looks pregnant.

I understand that! That’s why I rejoice when mine have blooms. At the Dallas Arboretum, my happy place, the roses are always struggling. It’s just too hot here the majority of the time, sadly.

📚 Just Finished: Dear Edward
✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️ … a beautifully written novel about a 12 year old boy, the lone survivor of a plane crash, in which his mom, dad & older brother are amongst the 191 lives lost. Tragic, yet lovely. Highly, highly recommend.
Book Cover: Dear Edward, written by Ann Napolitano. What an amazing life Edward, the 12 year old boy who lost everything, is destined to live despite the most tragic event in his life. All 191 souls left behind shape him in the most profound way, as do all the people who help him recover (Shay, the girl next door, is just perfect in this story). Back Book Cover: Dear Edward, written by Ann Napolitano.
“One summer morning, twelve-year-old Edward, his beloved older brother, his parents, and 183 other passengers board a flight in Newark headed for Los Angeles. Halfway across the country, the plane crashes. Edward is the only survivor. His story captures the attention of the nation, but he struggles to find a place in a world without his family. He continues to feel that a part of himself has been left in the sky, forever tied to the plane and all of his fellow passengers.
After he makes an unexpected discovery, he begins to understand all the ways his aunt and uncle, teachers, neighbors, and one very special friend have stepped in to care for him. Edward comes to see the transformative power of kindness and realizes that even a broken heart is capable of great love.”

I have it on when the weather permits me to eat my breakfast on the back patio. It’s a wonderful way to start the day - birds singing are the best mood lifters and, for me, set the proper tone for the day. I’ve become able to identify birds from their sounds because of this app. 😊

Pure Joy…quite the 7:04 minute symphony in my backyard. 🪶🎶
The Merlin bird app identified these birds singing in my backyard in a 7:04 minute span as I was reading latest book. Talk about a stress reliever. 🎶🎶

Knock Out®️ Roses 🌹… had to snip & bring inside. I wish you could smell these right now.
Knock Out®️ Rose blooms the backyard this morning. This rose bush is loving the sub 100° temperatures right now, even though high 80°s/low 90°s are still ridiculous in October. 🌹♥️ Knock Out®️ Rose cutting from the backyard this morning. 🌹♥️

Oh My 🧡🌿… there are no words that adequately describe the beauty in the back garden right now. 🌅

🪴Update: Look At This! … my Castor Bean plant, grown from seed, is taller than me, uniquely amazing…and toxic. ⚠️
The Castor Bean potted plant 🪴 is so tall! 1st time growing this; dropped packet of seeds in the planter & watched this exotic plant grow and grow these last 4 months. Wondering what I’m going to do with it over the winter & if it will survive overwintering in the garage. Research to do!

“Ricinus refers to the castor oil plant (Ricinus communis), a fast-growing, tropical shrub known for its dramatic, palmate leaves and spiny seed pods. While grown ornamentally for its striking appearance and used for its valuable castor oil, the plant is highly toxic, particularly its seeds, which contain the potent poison ricin.“

Can A Morning Look More Glorious?! 💙 … I think not. 😊
Up Close: look at all those beautiful dark blue/purple Morning Glory blooms this morning. Oh my. 💙 What a sight to see on the front porch this morning. 💙 So many Morning Glory blooms in the deepest blue with purple center. The Morning Glory vine is nearly blocking my front door entry way. I do not care. 😊

📚 Just Finished: The Tiger - A True Story Of Vengeance And Survival 🐅🐅🐅🐅🐅 This book is excellent; I learned so much about these magnificent, nearly extinct, creatures and Russia’s Far East territory. Highly recommend. 🐾
Book Cover: The Tiger, written by John Vaillant. “… we have found ourselves in charge of the tiger’s fate. This is not a burden anyone chose, but it is ours nonetheless. It is an extraordinary power for one species to wield power over another, and it represents a test of sorts.” Back Cover: The Tiger, written by John Vaillant.

“ A gripping story of man pitted against nature's most fearsome and efficient predator.

Outside a remote village in Russia's Far East a man-eating tiger is on the prowl. The tiger isn't just killing people, it's murdering them, almost as if it has a vendetta. A team of trackers is dispatched to hunt down the tiger before it strikes again. They know the creature is cunning, injured, and starving, making it even more dangerous. As John Vaillant re-creates these extraordinary events, he gives us an unforgettable and masterful work of narrative nonfiction that combines a riveting portrait of a stark and mysterious region of the world and its people, with the natural history of nature's most deadly predator.”

We just had a murder here outside a PetsMart because a woman who held a door open for another exiting the store, failed to say “thank you”. I’m no longer surprised, just plenty dismayed that nothing is done by our so-called leaders when they all know what the problem is.

I do love all her colors.

Indeed. Her genuine humility and recognition of her country’s people deserving democracy is refreshing. Respect for both her and the Nobel Peace Prize Committee. ☮️
