🪴Update: Look At This! … my Castor Bean plant, grown from seed, is taller than me, uniquely amazing…and toxic. ⚠️
The Castor Bean potted plant 🪴 is so tall! 1st time growing this; dropped packet of seeds in the planter & watched this exotic plant grow and grow these last 4 months. Wondering what I’m going to do with it over the winter & if it will survive overwintering in the garage. Research to do!

“Ricinus refers to the castor oil plant (Ricinus communis), a fast-growing, tropical shrub known for its dramatic, palmate leaves and spiny seed pods. While grown ornamentally for its striking appearance and used for its valuable castor oil, the plant is highly toxic, particularly its seeds, which contain the potent poison ricin.“

Can A Morning Look More Glorious?! 💙 … I think not. 😊
Up Close: look at all those beautiful dark blue/purple Morning Glory blooms this morning. Oh my. 💙 What a sight to see on the front porch this morning. 💙 So many Morning Glory blooms in the deepest blue with purple center. The Morning Glory vine is nearly blocking my front door entry way. I do not care. 😊

📚 Just Finished: The Tiger - A True Story Of Vengeance And Survival 🐅🐅🐅🐅🐅 This book is excellent; I learned so much about these magnificent, nearly extinct, creatures and Russia’s Far East territory. Highly recommend. 🐾
Book Cover: The Tiger, written by John Vaillant. “… we have found ourselves in charge of the tiger’s fate. This is not a burden anyone chose, but it is ours nonetheless. It is an extraordinary power for one species to wield power over another, and it represents a test of sorts.” Back Cover: The Tiger, written by John Vaillant.

“ A gripping story of man pitted against nature's most fearsome and efficient predator.

Outside a remote village in Russia's Far East a man-eating tiger is on the prowl. The tiger isn't just killing people, it's murdering them, almost as if it has a vendetta. A team of trackers is dispatched to hunt down the tiger before it strikes again. They know the creature is cunning, injured, and starving, making it even more dangerous. As John Vaillant re-creates these extraordinary events, he gives us an unforgettable and masterful work of narrative nonfiction that combines a riveting portrait of a stark and mysterious region of the world and its people, with the natural history of nature's most deadly predator.”

We just had a murder here outside a PetsMart because a woman who held a door open for another exiting the store, failed to say “thank you”. I’m no longer surprised, just plenty dismayed that nothing is done by our so-called leaders when they all know what the problem is.

I do love all her colors.

Indeed. Her genuine humility and recognition of her country’s people deserving democracy is refreshing. Respect for both her and the Nobel Peace Prize Committee. ☮️

Conflict resolution without guns and simply turning the other cheek seems to be a skill set too many find difficult. Instead they insist on an often final resolution to die on whatever stupid hill they have created. Raphi 🐈 is rightfully judging.
Raphi, my wise Creamsicle bff, sits on his fluffy white blankets and pillows, thinking that humans are failing each other every single day. Too many guns people! Raphi, my Creamsicle bff, saying ‘it’s all so tiring and sad’. May all good people stay safe and find restorative rest and peace. ☮️

Die Hälfte der Blöcke ist fertig! Es ist eine Menge Arbeit, aber lohnend mit einem einzigartigen Quilt am Ende, um es weiterzugeben. 😊

It’s a dark sky blueish color - I never really know if things will actually work out. I do like these sampler type blocks and the variety it offers.

I especially liked the symbolism of marigolds: Their odor was part of what brought the dead back for Days of the Dead with each flower’s 365 petals representing a day in the year of a good life. To the Spanish, the gold color represented gold from Mary’s dowry and why we call the flower, marigolds.

What a great renovation and honor to its history as a textile mill. I could spend hours in the gallery, taking in all the artistic creativity. Nice.

90°s in October are just too darn high. Consistent low/mid 80°s would be oh so wonderful.
