It can be hard on the wrists. there are glass cutter shapes that can help reduce it but much depends on how much your Mum is affected. Definitely big pieces are easier on the hands.

Yep, research into my Northamptonshire family history and you can’t move for them in the census records 😊 even whole families including young children in some cases. Got any “rough stuff” workers?

It’s lovely, imagine 16th century glass even made by the masters could be a little wonky in that period but agree about the distortion and being under the influence.

Your poor Mum. It’s often a quick decision of what to include and regret afterwards isn’t it. I’ll see what happens 😊 I think they will go for a less abstract piece but it’s hard to predict people’s taste isn’t it. I’ve only put forward pieces that I could (just about ) bear to part with.

Thanks Jan, it’s worth finding a local class if you can, it’s very satisfying. I love working with glass but have been neglecting my art these past few years. Think I’m gaining my equilibrium again finally.

A friend wants to buy a piece of my work. Haven’t made any in ages but had a few pieces they might like. Im selfishly hoping she doesn’t choose this one since I made it on a course in Bristol led by the lovely Chris Ainslie whose creativity, enthusiasm and encouragement knew no bounds.
