For everyone on active duty: under 10 USC 1034, the Military Whistleblower Protection Act, it is illegal for anyone to take any adverse action or withhold a positive personnel action for communicating or preparing to communicate, with an IG or Congress. Executive Orders have no effect on this law.

Nobody wants it as a story but I have multiple NYPD sources who voted for Mamdani, are eager for his win in November, and who say their colleagues quietly feel the same.

They like that he wants NYPD to focus on crime, not quality of life enforcement.

Lmao is this supposed to be a bad thing?
A tweet from Bari Weiss that says “"It's shaken me to my core," a lieutenant said of Mamdani's unexpected victory in June. "The absolute dread I feel is palpable.

Today in @TheFP our @Olivia_Reingold talks to the cops who say they will walk if Zohran Mamdani is elected in November:”

We have armed secret police kidnapping people off the street based on the color of their skin.

When we win: we will haul them before a Senate committee. The masks will come off. There will be consequences.

You should write another book about how great Lance Armstrong is

FWIW this appears to be entirely on Twitter. I haven’t seen any “Centrist Dems” posting on Bluesky which just makes it look more manufactured

Democratic Party funded influencers out in force to rerun their Biden 2024 talking points. According to centrist Dems, running 80 year old candidates is a plus and we should be doing it more.

Add to this Israel’s constant efforts to interfere in US domestic politics and punish US people it views as opponents which are not the actions of an ally.

A liberal democracy that maintains indefinite control of millions of people it affords no rights and allows its most extreme citizens to brutalize and kill with no reaction is not a liberal democracy. Liberal democracies also at least attempt to discipline their troops for war crimes.

Interesting how Israelis view collapsing US public support as a PR problem, not something they could fix by changing their actions. The way to persuade Americans Israel is a liberal democracy and not an ethnonationalist apartheid state is to act like a liberal democracy.

The Supreme Court uses the shadow docket so it can rule for Trump without creating principles that will prevent it from ruling against a Democratic President. It’s that simple. They have abandoned law and just rule in favor of Republicans or whatever billionaire bribed them most recently.

I think it would be a huge public service if major media outlets interviewed people given RIF notices and let them explain in detail what their jobs are so that people can judge for themselves whether these positions are wasteful like Trump and Vought claim or whether they help the country prosper.

“I’m worried about my community… I’m out here in a frog costume to show how ridiculous the notion that we’re violent terrorists is, and showcase how that narrative is wrong…”

Serious Q: is it too late to give this dude the Nobel Peace Prize? 🐸 🏆

Worth noting that Russia has a well-documented track record of blowing up NATO and Ukrainian ammunition plants.

I’d like to add: retasking the FBI away from counterintelligence, especially Russian-focused counterintelligence.

Waiting for someone to come out with a line of goofy animal costumes with built in helmets and tear gas filtration. There's money just sitting on the table here

The frog protest is a sophisticated resistance tactic because it combines the ability to communicate profound contempt for the object of the protest with indisputable non-violent intent. It thoroughly destroys Trump’s claims about protest violence in 5 seconds of video.

This has always been an issue with Bernie, who I don’t think has the same practicality and appreciation for detail. Even though he is unquestionably had a very positive impact on America, it was mostly through symbolic leadership not actually getting things done or managing effectively.

I think this is an indication he will be an excellent mayor, not just a symbol. He wills make mistakes and have problems but he seems to have a commitment to learning about the details you need to understand to get things done.
Mamdani Courts the Cops
He is doing a lot better than you might think.
