I slept better postpartum. That’s 1:13 hours of sleep with three interruptions. That’s with Ambien and no caffeine.

Whenever I see bands with a sizeable and/or cult following (specifically @themountaingoats.bsky.social today & two yesterday) what they think about Spokane. I don't miss any part of Eastern WA except in memories.

I love my home now, but my heart aches for those memories. The desert is also pretty.

I really, truly think it is. If it's validating people who don't have the strongest grip on reality or their mental health, it's going to validate irrational ideas and viewpoints of the world. I'm frightened of this for people.

Durham is second in NC for same sex couples (behind Buncombe) & had a 4.9-6.7 per capita of queer individuals out of every 1,000. Remember we’re still southern. (Williams Institute)

@durhamcounty.bsky.social what the hell? Even if this wasn’t his POV, this is a clear violation of the first amendment and targets a large population of the Durham community. NC conservatives won’t “pick” us by choosing this church as its venue and to have Pastor Andy Thompson speak.

The pharmacist who gave my vaccines ranted about how improvements in the migraine self injectors are measured in days of work missed. (It’s notable btw.) He said we shouldn’t define it by capitalism’s demands. Then gave me a coupon for Target for doing my vaccines.

It is SO frustrating to see what's happening and to hear no real pushback from people with big platforms and/or power to LEAD people to demand change. Why aren't they moving? Why wasn't W.'s "win" in 2000 a bigger deal than it was? We've been headed this way at least since then. (I was 11.)
