Kimiebi Ebienfa, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reiterated the commitment of Nigeria to protect citizens of all religions.

"The Federal Government of Nigeria will continue to defend all citizens, irrespective of race, creed, or religion," Ebienfa said in a statement on Saturday. "Like America, Nigeria has no option but to celebrate the diversity that is our greatest strength."

My friend in Ohio is in a very similar situation. His benefits were minimal to begin with and as of yesterday everything has been cut off. Everything. SNAP, health insurance, prescriptions, all gone. He will suffer horrifically. I can't afford to do enough to help him.

Immigration stopped taking payments for the legal immigration process, supposedly due to the government shutdown. Seems like ICE will use this as an excuse to pick up immigrants who were doing things "the right way". 😡🥺😡🥺

I buy organic milk despite the cost because it lasts longer in the fridge, so I can drink it all before it goes bad. My last gallon didn't make it a week before it went sour and I was so pissed I took it back and exchanged it. Never exchanged food before. But I had to do it.

I'm more sick than angry. My disabled friend in Ohio is now without SNAP, health insurance and prescriptions because of the government shutdown. But he can't survive on government help alone. If not his two friends he would've died a few years ago. That's what I'm furious about!
