Only I, major horror wimp, would end up going to a horror short festival to watch a piece I worked on. Here’s hoping the other shorts in the block don’t give me nightmares!
Thanks to the weird week I’m having, I can tell you that, in the race of what’s a bigger derailment of one’s day between finding a sick opossum under your car and whipping peanut butter all over your cluttered kitchen, the latter is a lot more laborious, but the former is a lot more time consuming.
If anyone is a big fan of Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, or practical visual effects, a very talented friend is making a documentary about the legendary Doug Drexler.

They started raising funds today, and I know he’s grateful for anything you might be able to contribute.

When I was younger, I loved music from my mom’s youth. Currently my child is singing “All Star” by Smashmouth. The realization dawned with abject horror.
Shot: No Kings Day

Chaser: One Battle After Another
To the point where he’s celebrating the “Marine Corps Birthday” over 3 weeks early just so he can blow up some missiles about it.
A woman was cheering us (protesting) from her car, so I yelled at the man driving to honk- he leaned down below the sun visor to wave and it was TJ Thyne of Bones fame! I am a nerd, and that did make my day.
Why is The Diplomat *so good*?!

We started season 3 tonight and if not for being a responsible adult, I would probably be tempted to binge the whole thing.
This movie was the first I ever saw in a theater- I was 6, and my mom covered my eyes when the ghost came on in the beginning- and it has been somewhere in my list of favorite movies for all of the 41 years since.
My 5th interval was hella fast: omg, you’re amazing!

I can do no wrong.
My self-love centered around running in my 40s kind of cracks me up.

Tuesday I was exhausted and didn’t run: good for you! I’m so proud you’re listening to your body!

This morning I ran slowly: hell yeah! Running slow sometimes is so important!

If anyone needs me I will be in the museum, lying down next to the bog bodies.
I managed to dress in workout gear on top, but I’m still wearing pajama bottoms- which I think really accurately describes how I’m entering this week.
Production used auto-iris.
In honor of spooky month, share a 4 word horror story that only someone in your profession would understand

I'll go first: Six page commercial lease.

I am very tired of this, but a quick review.

In America, it is legal for you to own your bullshit laser, no matter how it got into the county.

How you use your bullshit laser matters. Most jurisdictions escalate to felony for lighting up any law enforcement. Doing to them in the sky is ++Felony.
This is such an astoundingly bad idea that I kinda think it’s a false flag or an op of some sort

Merits aside, it is insanely easy to be caught if you do this and the punishment for doing this is much more severe than you’d guess.

No! I need to get on that, I was only vaguely aware.
We saw them open for Florence + the Machine a couple of years ago and they’ve been in the rotation since.
Throw in being in the original cast of Hair, and her lovable whackadoodle persona, and every adorable role she played in the 90s… she was an undeniable fav.

Rest in Peace to an icon. And extremely grateful that I get to hug the lady she reminded me of tomorrow.
I have always been a huge fan of Diane Keaton, but the truth is deeper than loving an actress. There’s a picture of my mom in the 70s when I was a baby where she looks *exactly* like young Keaton, and the two cemented in my mind irrevocably.
Before today I had never been to Dutch Bros, and now I am extremely well caffeinated. Follow me for more thrilling content.
I would like to say the same, but I’ve spent much of my career in “reality” television.
😳 I can’t remember. Maybe she told me and it was a surprise based on how my memory is working these days.
I got to read my favorite book from childhood to my kids over the weekend. Thanks @espnjockjams.bsky.social! I hadn’t read it in probably more than 35 years, and it was very illustrative as to how I was indoctrinated (complimentary). It shall hold a place of honor on my shelves!
Whimpers as I prepare to fly with my whole family this weekend.
