Thank you! And just like you had mentioned, one of the things I cherish and miss most about working in a game studio were the people. Freelancing gets incredibly lonely, it's been so much harder finding the creative energy when not surrounded by a team of other creatives!

It was meant to be my big break, and after that, I just didn't want to do the song and dance anymore. Just took a step back and tried to recover from burnout. And now I'm feeling more fulfilled doing freelancing because most things I have a hand in actually get shipped 😅

It's been interesting.. I really did beat myself up for a long time having the extensive career that I did in games and yet not having anything really worthwhile ship. My last big project was a 3 year endeavor doing character designs for a Transformers game. When that was cancelled, I was done 😩
