So. 2025 has been the most significant year of my life so far. And it's not even particularly close.

Trans rights came under attack this year in the UK. I have been trying my best to help fight back.

I've been a little busy. Here's a thread of some of what I have been up to 🧵

So, when are we going to talk about the fact that all of the anti-trans supposed "women's rights" activists do the vast majority of their political organising on the CSAM and nudification app?

A small announcement from me:

It is with sadness - but also joy at what we‘ve achieved over the last couple years - that I’ve decided to step back from my work at Trans+ Solidarity Alliance as Head of Policy.

I am so grateful to everyone in the team for the amazing time I've had volunteering.

If the UK government had a Culture Secretary, that person would be in a position to take a view about whether child porn on demand was a good thing, or a bad thing. thecritic.co.uk/brin...

obligatory seconding of Omelas. It's a short story and I would say mandatory for our times.

This country. Absolutely brazen.
❤️‍🔥Tory sources confirm that Nadhim Zahawi made approaches to senior members of Kemi Badenoch's team about getting a peerage just weeks before defecting to Reform UK - but was turned down.

I think the new year has helped me realise that you can only sprint for so long during a marathon

If you want to keep up with TSA's excellent work you should follow them here on Bluesky:
2025, it’s been a year.

Our small volunteer team is immensely proud of everything we’ve been able to do. We couldn’t have done any of it without your help.

We will keep fighting, together 🏳️‍⚧️

With all my work at GLP and restarting my PhD, it’s been tough to manage both. I am juggling hats a little too much.

But I will still be maintaining a close and productive relationship with the TSA team as trans rights lead at GLP, as we all work to protect trans human rights in the UK.

I am back at work today! Please bear with me whilst I go through an inbox which looks like it has exploded. If you messaged me on whatsapp/signal etc. in the last few weeks I almost certainly didn't see it.

Absolutely.
Perhaps a very good reason to oppose the attempted watering down of Art 3 by this govt?

This is only a slight jest

In fairness this is basically how the mags work already
We could clear the courts backlog even quicker if we were to remove the right to a trial altogether, and simply convict people by fiat.
Slashing jury trials could clear courts backlog within a decade, says Lammy

Amongst all the other news and noise today, this is significant news about complicity of the United Kingdom state’s complicity in torture.

Seems less efficient than just convicting everyone. The time spent looking at people is just unnecessary friction.

There is a degree to which 'efficiency' actually ought to be resisted in a system which allows the State to strip people of their liberty.
