If there is a creative way to lose a football game, the Dolphins invariably find it.

I’m not sure Ivan Demidov could impress his Canadiens teammates any more than he already has, but he did that Saturday night in Chicago.

This was a new brand of hostility for him. And he shined in a way some of his teammates didn’t realize he could shine.

Canadiens rookie Ivan Demidov, targeted by Blackhawks, further shows what he’s all about
Demidov is incredibly skilled, and everyone knows that. But he showed something against the Blackhawks that might have been less known.

This Canadiens PP1 setup is, uhh, not working.

Eighth power play here for Canadiens after Connor Bedard appeared to try to flip a puck off Alexandre Carrier's jock after the whistle.

Canadiens headed to the power play for a seventh time tonight. We are halfway through the game.

Blackhawks tie it again on the power play, puck bounces in off Connor Bedard at the side of the net, 2-2 game.

This game might end 8-7.

The ornery version of Ivan Demidov is certainly an interesting look. He's involved in a LOT tonight.

Sorry that should be 2-1, lots happened there...

Zack Bolduc, in his third game in a Canadiens uniform, has his third goal in a Canadiens uniform. 2-0 Montreal.

Cole Caufield bats a fluttering Zack Bolduc shot out of the air and past Spencer Knight, Canadiens finally score on their fifth power play of the game, 1-0 early in the second. It was reviewed for being touched by a high stick and the goal stands. Caufield's first of the season.

Two games, two opposite scores, one common way of playing.

The Canadiens haven’t been perfect, but their willingness to do the things that lead to winning is vastly improved.

On a win in Detroit, and a blocked shot.

Canadiens have 1 loss and 1 win but have already shown growth after 2 games
A play that won't show up on highlight reels was indicative of the evolution of the Canadiens toward becoming a winning team.

Quirky stat, after one period, every skater on the Canadiens is a plus-1 except for three: Josh Anderson, Jake Evans and Patrik Laine, who are even.

Oliver Kapanen and Zack Bolduc now have two goals in two games each. No one else on the Canadiens has scored yet.
