What will Connor Bedard’s next contract look like for the Blackhawks?
Considering how Bedard is developing in his third NHL season and the increasing salary cap, there are plenty of reasons for intrigue.

Is Ryan Greene the long-term answer on Connor Bedard's wing? Maybe not. But he's holding his own and proving his worth, writes @scottpowers.bsky.social:

Ryan Greene didn't make the Blackhawks' roster to start the season. Now he's on the top line. Where will he eventually settle?

Where Ryan Greene ultimately ends up in the Blackhawks' lineup is yet to be determined, but he's proving to be a long-term piece in Kyle Davidson's plan.

Teräväinen and Grzelcyk had maintenance days. Burakovsky is still considered day to day.

Blackhawks use their timeout with 1:38 left in regulation.

Knight is out of the net.
November 24, 2025 at 2:33 AM
Bertuzzi called for tripping with 2:34 left, but it's overturned. Manson had lost an edge.

Moore to Teräväinen for one of the Blackhawks' best chances in a while. There's 4:04 left in regulation. Avalanche still ahead 1-0.

Another good crowd for the Blackhawks with 20,441 at the United Center tonight.

The Avalanche lead the Blackhawks 1-0 after two periods. Shots on goal were 19-1, Avalanche, in that period.

Spencer Knight's turnover led to the goal. His pass was intercepted by Nielsen and Makar would finish off Nielsen's rebound for the goal.

Makar, 1-0

Bedard took a puck near his shoulder/neck. It appears as if he's able to play through it and is on the bench.

Rinzel to the box for tripping.

On the one hand, the Blackhawks outplayed the league's best team in the first 20 minutes and have a 12-2 advantage in shots on goal.

On the other, the Blackhawks didn't score and the Avalanche aren't a team that normally remains quiet for a full game.

Greene slammed his stick after getting back to the bench after that last chance.
November 24, 2025 at 12:40 AM
Greene with another great look in the slot and shoots wide.
November 24, 2025 at 12:39 AM
The Blackhawks probably need a little more offense out of Greene. He's been good in a lot of ways on that top line, but the production could be better. He has two goals and four assists in 263:42 of 5v5 ice time.
