Uf, qué placer. Aquí todo el mundo tiene castaños (menos yo q soy más de ciudad que los pasos de cebra). Menos mal que me traen a casa porque se me va el sueldo en las paraditas al castañero. Qué vicio! Llevamos dos zampadas en lo que va de otoño. Riquísimas!

Two merging galaxies form an abstract shape, which looks a little like an upside down rubber duck. Within the "head" and "body" of the duck are crossed brown swirls, which are dust and gas. The outside of the duck is outlined with hazy yellow swirls, which are streams of stars. Near the "neck" of the duck, at the point where the two merging galaxies touch, and slightly to the right is a bright white blob, surrounded by pink blobs. This is X-ray light from NuStar, which shows emission from an active supermassive black hole in the right galaxy.

I was up early this morning to catch the comet (images soon) but I also took a look the the Moon, in the waning gibbous phase, and Jupiter, with its Great Red Spot. 🔭

Ay Beleeen!! Me alegro q t gustase. Las actividades multitudinarias están guay xq llevamos distintos telescopios y escuchas explicaciones variadas según vas pasando d 1 a otro. Pero para mí tienen + encanto las noches del observatorio. Al final son 15 personas por grupo, más familiar, menos ruido...

Volviendo de ver estrellas con los 3 Soles. Han aguantado mucho para lo tarde que aún se hace de noche, pero hemos tenido chocolate caliente de la organización, cena en toallas y un poquito de gusanillo astronómico metido en las mentes de estos peques. Ojalá les germine algo de esto en el futuro

Two nights of 3:45am alarms, blazing full moon lighting the sky like daytime and washing out the light of everything else, comet included. Then two days of post-processing battles, as comet processing is maddeningly tricky.

Webb Telescope unveils doomed ⭐ hidden in dust

Northwestern University-led team of astronomers has captured most detailed glimpse yet of a doomed ⭐ before it exploded.

Study marks first time JWST identified a supernova’s source star and first time supernova was imaged in mid-infrared wavelengths

The main image at left shows a combined Webb and Hubble view of spiral galaxy NGC 1637, with the region of interest in the top right. The remaining three panels show a detailed view of a red supergiant star before and after it exploded. The star is not visible in the Hubble image before the explosion, but appears in the Webb image. The July 2025 view from Hubble shows the glowing aftermath of the explosion.

Jo, pues qué suerte. Aquí a duras penas pero por lo menos me quité el gusanillo que los findes de septiembre fueron nulos. Los socios subieron a observar el primer finde pero aquí es feira franca así que coincidió regulin.
