“Freedom of speech” is not synonymous with, and not limited to, the First Amendment. Freedom of speech is a value we can all choose to uphold in our workplaces, schools and social circles. It is in tension with other values, such as safety and decency. The government has no choice. We do.

I discovered OneFootball with $4 PPV for the Asian World Cup qualifiers today. I’m use to the Siuth American qualifiers which are like $20 or $30 a match so this is great. Rooting for Iraq to close this out and then beat Saudi Arabia on Tuesday.

Why would we want our government to help keep people alive and well? It’s not there to “promote the general welfare” or some woke bullshit like that.

It really is. It was terrible decision-making by the judge. And unfortunately the kind of thing we can expect the current Supreme Court to continue. So we will need active work by the DOJ and the public to make this happen.

Except the court precedent is that if an agency refuses to give their names, they can’t be sued. It’s going to take a lot of work and a lot of us to pay attention for a long time to get these assholes accountability.
