After a year of practice and learning, I'm proud to announce the release of my very first video game, Retrieval! It's a small find-the-imposter type puzzle game that I had such a blast creating!

Try it out on Itch.io here: attakat.itch.io/retrieval

Starting to build my #Streamer / #VTuber list for the day when my #IndieGame is about to launch, and I'm surprised by how many profiles I find with no business email address or method of contact.

Throw a contact in there! I want to contact you but don't want to assume I can slide in your DMs, lol.

In honor of spooky month, share a 4 word horror story that only someone in your profession would understand

I'll go first: Six page commercial lease.

Homogenization of blueprints continues. It really is so satisfying to have a single, customizable, preset-filled Light blueprint.

In today's episode of #GameDev growth, I had a sudden inspiration and replaced all my multiple door blueprints into One Blueprint To Rule Them All.

Now happily spending my Friday evening with a cup of tea replacing all my doors with the Omega Door. 🍵 😌

The lovely @frosthound.bsky.social got his Steam page up for the longest named Steam game you've see this year! Don't let the cute eyes fool you though; this fits right in with the other spooky games coming out this month. <3

Well this looks inviting.

Ah, that's the version I use. So they did! Man, yeah they'd all have to really be in sync together. Fantastic job on it!
attakat.bsky.social
It really shows! Is this in UnrealEngine? I was messing around wondering how I'd do this in blueprint. Actually getting it this smooth would definitely take a lot of trial and error. It really adds a surreal touch to your game.
attakat.bsky.social
What the fuuuuck. That looks so cool! And it's so smooth too, no falling while lerping through the camera rotation there.
attakat.bsky.social
That's... entirely too many Blahaj! 😭🦈🦈🦈

You clearly don't look into how AI prompters get their data. I won't bother to refute you anymore. Just know generative AI doesn't have a place in the creative game space and people will judge you and your game accordingly, whether you intend for that or not.
attakat.bsky.social
You're saying to wishlist your game on the front of the poster, with your game's name on it. Like it or not, people will equate this to your game and it is misleading. I don't even know what event this is supposed to advertise, unless you mean Demo?
attakat.bsky.social
Yes there is. AI image creators get their data from stealing other artists' artwork. If you're supporting a tool like that, you'll get a lot of negative reception for your game.

And I assume the character "Kazi" is supposed to be in the poster here? It doesn't look like your sprite in-game.
attakat.bsky.social
You are not making with AI, you are prompting a machine to use stolen artwork to make something for you. If you can't be bothered to make your own artwork (if you can't afford a commission) for your own game, I wonder if any parts of your game are cutting corners as well.
attakat.bsky.social
I mean, I'd rather see the same wishlist message on a screen of your gameplay. As it is, this poster tells me nothing about what your game is...
attakat.bsky.social
Oh my god, absolutely frigging delightful. From the adorable eyes to the fun font of the fantastically verbose name. Even I don't know all the fun secrets in store for this one. :) Can't wait.

It's time to finally show the stupid name I gave my game!

What do we think, chat?

I'm preparing a little montage video of my WIP game that I plan on putting out onto all the socials once I hit 1,000 followers on Bluesky.

Super exciting stuff! I'm so close! 😊😊
attakat.bsky.social
Woah, that looks fantastic! Thought it was a picture at first as I scrolled past.

You'd think I'd have learned how to stop accidentally opening it by now...

A lot of the assets throughout have a gothic flair to them, especially the cathedral, so you're spot on! 😉

And thank you!! ❤️

This game has needed an absolute ton of set dressing and polish, but the work has left me with so many beautiful views and angles. ♥️🌈

Yessss. Ever since I've gotten into game devving, I've been pulled more and more to game design discourse of any genre. I love learning what devs do to guide players, build immersion, or create challenges. It's addicting!
