Didn't say anyone else didn't - just that the 'two timelines' notion their owner insisted on was never going to work, has been an objective disaster results-wise, and if they played those cards differently, Curry would be much better positioned to compete for titles while he's still a top 10 player.

I don't know why people convinced themselves Carter Bryant has star upside. I'm sure he'll be a great role player for 10-15 years, maybe a good starter, but he's nearly 20 and can't really dribble - he's the prototype 3&D but I don't see anything beyond that. #SummerLeague

Working to confirm, but Poeltl opting in to 19.5 for 26-27 is a big deal. Starting him at his max raise next year — north of 27 — would have created real headache for Raps, cap/tax wise. Would work out to a 3/84.5 extension after that.

Poeltl is even more important to the Raptors' success than Turner was for the Pacers, so the number makes sense. They just need to become a playoff contender to justify it now.
