In any other presidency, from Truman to Biden, the family monetization of the office & the use of immediate family members as a substitute for senior diplomats would have immediately ended it all. But here we are, with this One Special Boy, & we just stopped being a serious country. It’s maddening.

I like my map because it has no explicit rules on how these must be drawn. But it has an incredibly clear and transparent criterion for what does and does not pass. And it makes it clear which states are most problematic.

fractal dimension, FD, is a measure of a shape's complexity. The higher the number, the greater the gerrymander. The histogram shows the distribution of all FDs for all voting districts in the US. It's a nice tight bell shape cdntred around 2. I colored the highest 20% red, and then mapped them.

I am celebrating #NoKings by sharing this map I created this morning, of US Congressional districts, colored by shape complexity. Red means it's a top 20% risk of gerrymandering. It is easy as pie to regulate voting district shape complexity, to stop gerrymandering forever.
