Look, all I want is for everyone to make 25% of the 50% of trips that are less than 3 miles by something other than car.

Some of them are obligatory, mandated public hearings.

At which I end up arguing with some NIMBY about housing or old biddy about bike lanes.

I try to go to meetings, but there's so many. City planning commissions, Parks & Rec, Ciy transpo, regional transpo, Heritage Board meeting, regular council meetings, one-off meeting for VMT, homeless, ADUs... the list goes on. I can't keep up.

I politely told them someone was going to fall navigating around this gate and that we would never design infrastructure where the only solution to use it was to get out of your car and push it.

As a former government employee, I'm ashamed of stupid some of my fellow civil servants are. I would love to know the thought process behind this

Here's one from a few years ago when my city put road furniture in the middle of a downhill on the Santa Ana River Trail

It's amazing that Riverside and San Bernardino Counties, two of the most populous counties in the country, don't have enough passenger rail to qualify for SB 79.

Just finished season 2 of Peacemaker.

Can't say I'm particularly happy about its ending especially for a show that went nearly four years between seasons.

By the time next season rolls around, they're gonna half to de-age John Cena.

Rode my ebike to the hardware store for a handful of screws, but I forgot it was rush hour!

No driver did anything crazy, but there are so many of them! Sitting there idling.

The whole thing was very stressful. I came home down side streets and alleyways.

It's a shame that it only applies in 8 counties.

We need a statewide Builder's Remedy. No city or county should be able to deny any housing project until the median home in their community is affordable by a median income family.

MAJOR NEWS: @GavinNewsom signed SB 79, my bill allowing more housing near public transit — rail, subway, rapid bus.

It’s a huge step for housing in California. It’ll create more homes, strengthen our transit systems & reduce traffic & carbon emissions.

One day at school pickup I slapped a car whose driver was blocking a crosswalk. The mom got all irate "don't touch my car! What kind of behavior are you teaching your kid!"

My great nephew (in kindergarten) stuck his tongue out at her.
