As I expected, Spotify is about convenience, but not necessarilly about discovery as Spotify dictates the rules based on your existing taste or listening behavior, pre-fab, no real exploration or evolving your taste. Personally I don’t value streaming services that high for musical taste development

But maybe genZ is less used to discovering music themselves, I learned the classic pop from older brothers of friends, I spend hours in a recordshop listening to mew records, we listed to thecwhole record and not just a soundbite of one song

Not so sure, being of the age that we didn’t have Internet let alone streaming services, my generation was still aware of the great artists of the 60s and before, even in our teens, but look at classical music still known and popular while hardly on streaming services.

Streaming services are not that blessing for artists always, for fans the advantage is that they need to tour more frequently. Artist make less money from creation. And the idea that small, new artists benefit is mostly a myth

Beatles and Neil Young don’t need it stay in the picture, at least for the past and current. They are modern classics and Neil is creating and performing, is/would be selling big time even records without Spotify. Know artists make less money from creating music due to streaming services

Well ‘took down the web’ is overrating AWS importance a bit, luckily not everything fails if Amazon makes a mistake or even when the Cloud in general is gone for awhile and some people still have some skills of their own and can survive a bit without tech

So not as redundant implemented as promised, say some bad guy decides to disrupt Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google etc then we have an issue with the hype of outsourcing the hosting of our services to big tech only to save money, in the past companies had own data centers, had own backup centers

Zolang de kiezer dat niet (wil) zien en niet kijkt naar verkiezingsprogramma versus gerealiseerde beloftes, maar blind blijft stemmen met onderbuik verandert er niks en wordt uiterst rechts weer even groot en coalitievorming van een regering die met feiten een realistisch beleid voert moeilijk
