Former organizer. He/him. Has a theory of change. "The situation is in charge." "A dark cloud showing up to the ballpark every day..." Not from Kauai. I just had a standoff with a gang of feral roosters one time.

Been wondering about how an Armagnac sour would do. It does.
2 coupe glasses with a miky orange cocktail, and bitters swirled in egg white foam.

Lots of shouts of "Go Brewers."

Might just be 1 guy, tho.

Federal courts imposed restrictions on federal use of force. State and local police should have more constraints to preserve first amendment rights.

Telling the federal court that IL police can handle Broadview was part of the state's legal strategy against national guard being deployed here.

But it's hard to square that as for the good of protestors or Illinoisans as a whole, when IL police are perfectly willing to drag and beat them anyway.

state police continue to push protesters down 25th street. at one point, cops swarmed a group of people and pushed them to the ground.

multiple people arrested.

Of the 5 Charlie Trotter recipes I've cooked over the last month, 4 were absolutely worth the time and effort to make on their own. The beet and apple salad wasn't but did make sense as something lighter to serve between 2 richer courses.

Maybe it's more accurate to say that Congress delegated this authority, then Speaker Johnson and Majority Leader Thune created pretext for exercising it through abdicating Article I responsibilities with the shutdown, House recess, and lack of oversight.

The DoD is allowed to transfer this money per statute apparently (though this is outside of my area). The CR in March upped it to 8 billion.
Of course it has. It always does. Sec 8005 of DOD Appropriations, for starters… That one provision now allows for $8b in transfers, per March’s full year CR:

"Tighter than a bag of assholes," a persistent trait of White Sox owners.

BumTown is available to borrow with an archive.org account.

One of his recipes also called for peeling and baking shallots then peeling the outer layer from and slicing the peeled, baked shallots. Also slippery.

And peeling a roasted beet.

Peeling the roasted poblano was a cakewalk in comparison.

That's for Congress and the next president to sort out. But this is the judiciary creating a permission structure for them to pursue court reforms through lawful or law-like processes.

I hadn't learned about concassé until introduced to it this week, posthumously by Charlie Trotter.

It's the knifework involving seeding + dicing that requires extra attention. Fuckers are slippery.

Proud of my colleagues for speaking out!

There is so much power when people come together.

Trump knows that, and that’s why everything he does aims to divide us.

But we see through that and are growing stronger together!

Shut down but not silenced: Federal workers find their voice
After months of layoffs and funding cuts by the Trump administration, the government shutdown has given some federal employees hope that their voices are finally being heard.

Unlike a quincañera or sweet 16, 15-16 innings of postseason baseball is not cause for celebration.
