Yeah, I came here to namecheck Powerline... which for me the end never seemed to justify the means. Maybe Powerline carries data better in a power cut and those sockets deliver no power and for some weird reason the LAN is using repurposed 3-pin and power wires instead of RJ45 and Cat 5 ...?

This was quite a level-headed discourse on the misuse of political power by the US government's executive branch between two Oregonian adults, one of whom has balanced her necessarily accusatory stance with the calming appearance and citizen privacy facilitated by her CareBear costume.

Random art from my collection: page 28 of “Snow, Glass, Apples” by @colleendoran.bsky.social. I had bought it before the GN had come out and Colleen asked that I not post or share it until after the book came out. I abided. Was part of a touring museum exhibit from mid 2023 to mid 2024.

@twowatchwho.bsky.social have started on Torchwood and I'm remembering how fresh that programme's swan dive into Actual Cardiff felt. I'd love to see every major UK metropolitan centre 'own' Who for a while but another dose of Cardiff would be fantastic.

It's kind of odd there's never been a Welsh Doctor. Particularly after four Scots...

I am still working on my business, other than repairing stuff for other people

I picked up this Oster Stim-U-Lux 'Massage Instrument' today to resell

Original box and manuals, from about 1965

And yes, it works. Quite aggressively, might I say

I've got that set on @auntiecandy.bsky.social's recommendation and the documentary disc was fantastic – just seen one other disc so far, Come Play With Me – that was also Bad at Both things it tried. Will keep an open, erm, mind?

I stayed the course through that one with Peter Purves. I am probably entitled to compensation. Nice to see Lisa Bowerman at work. But really.... it should have been sent into Post with orders to turn it into a ten-minute feature. Everyone came out of that covered in egg, even Emily Cook.

This is Ada Lovelace, daughter of Lord Byron and considered to be the first person to write a computer programme which was for Babbage's Analytical Machine. She died in 1842
In her honour, today is Ada Lovelace Day and is all about encouraging women and girls in mathematics, science and engineering.

Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.

As I needed Netflix for Arcane, I decided to also rewatch Voltron, and it is still pretty good, so I decided to draw a colour wheel of the titular mech.

#Art #Voltron
Voltron, from Voltron Legendary Defender, in a minimalist style.
It consists of 5 robotic lions, a blue and yellow one for the legs, a black one for the torso, and green and red for the arms.

Your constructive analysis does you credit. I just wish that discourse had an environment of good faith to live in.

I have just figured out what to do about K-9. I better write this down but this is the moment!
