Mayoral Candidates differ on this topic. CM @electjeffcoughlin.com led on parking minimum removal. Mayor Wheeler never spoke in public on the topic (somebody prove me wrong, I never heard the Mayor on this topic and I was paying attention), now he claims he was opposed.

Notification of Development for a 58 unit apartment with 90 parking spots in Central Bremerton on a current single family home lot.

90 parking spots may seem like a lot, and it is. But previous parking minimum we have required 116 parking spots.

If your bike was stolen from in front of Jolly Roger’s in Ballard, this jackweed stole it. Sorry.

Asian dude, black Tesla. I yelled at him, he flipped me off.

A map of dive bars in the western Hood Canal. Or maybe dive spots. We may never find out which

YSS Dive, Hoodsport, WA. Might be a dive shop, might be a dive bar. Some mysteries remain unknown to science.

I stand corrected, Shelton has a weekly newspaper, 5 journalists. Www.Masoncounty.com

There’s another sign on Port Orchard Drive, illegal to ride your skateboard down that hill to Bay Street. Just weird to see.

But I had a cocktail at holy water. Delightful.

I’m hearing that ICE is conducting raids in Shelton, WA, 30 miles NW of WA’s Capital. Someone I believe said more than 60 individuals were arrested or disappeared.

Little, hardscrabble Shelton has virtually zero traditional journalism. Tree falls, nobody hears.

You don’t see too many horrible, anti-Bike laws in Washington. But Port Orchard has one, banning bicycles from sidewalks in various parts of the city, including this gigantic speedway cars regularly exceed 50 miles an hour.

Illegal to get off the street and onto the sidewalk on a bike. Dumb

Seems... not that different from humans.

Putting up campaign signs is the perfect illustration of why many errands are more efficiently accomplished on a bike. Parking and cargo capacity are non-issues. @electjeffcoughlin.com

Newfangled bicycles may eke out some tiny performance benefits from internally, routed wires, and hydraulic disc brakes. But what we lost was simple, cheap parts that are easy to fix yourself.

I know, Bremerton is a tiny backwater. And it’s much more useful to focus on the thing Trump just did

I’m disappointed that no Puget Sound activist group (pro biking, urbanist, street safety) has engaged, in the Brem Mayor race. except @wabikes.bsky.social Coughlin endorsement.

Bremerton has exactly zero protected bike lanes, largely due to 2-term Mayor Wheeler.

City of Bremerton begs for “robust feedback” on the 6th St project, presumably because people who want the street to be safe, have been very vocal (we’ve been organizing pro-safety feedback). And the pro-fast car populous has been watching the Ms.

Bremerton has precisely zero blocks of protected bike lanes, city wide. Why?

Bremerton‘s strong mayor system and eight year incumbent, Mayor Greg Wheeler, are at the center of most theories.

Sucks to live in a backwards city. The election can change things.

Every possible excuse why Bremerton can't have protected bike lanes in a school zone: "Snow, sweeping, emergency vehicles, amazon trucks, garbage pickup, utilities."

"It's not because we hate protected bike lanes."

No, it's because you exclusively build for cars.

I’ve been riding the waterfront from Pioneer Square to the Ballard Bridge for 15 years. Extraordinary transformation over the past three yrs

From suicidal car dance to boringly safe. It’s a big improvement but, to be honest, I’m gonna miss the stupid little bridge.

Coughlin is critical of the of the mayor’s 25-26 budget, which he voted against, and which will spin down over 60% of the cities reserves.

The mayor is whistling past the graveyard and wants to wait till after the election to let people know about upcoming tax increases and cuts the city services.

Bemerton mayoral candidate debate between city council member Jeff Coughlin, and two term incumbent Greg Wheeler.

Big differences include Coughlin‘s championing of the successful elimination of parking minimums, which the mayor opposed
