My favorite New Order song was a big club hit in America and made it No. 32 on Billboard. Did better on the charts in other countries: No. 4 in the UK, 8 in Australia, 17 on the European Hot 100. Love the video!

My favorite by The Smiths. Rolling Stone ranked this the band's 13th best. NME placed it 4th. Billboard has it 2nd. Critic Stephen Thomas Erlewine of AllMusic praised the song's "minor-key rush."

This song introduced me, and many Americans, to The Cure, and the band's amazing "Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me" album. Not a big chart topper (No. 40 in the U.S., 29 in the UK), but it's a classic.
