Definitely, the pacing almost feels not slow enough, like it was racing to get to the action, and not allowing the slice of life needed.

It's not "great" writing, but the vibe wasn't there.

It's a shame, alas, those were the cards.

The dub is fun too, just ham enough, but does the job.

It's only episode 2, but I feel better watching this than Sakamoto at episode 2.

I tried watching the Sakamoto Days anime-

The action's fine, but I think I enjoy reading it better.

It's faithful, almost to a fault. Sure, it's shonen jump, but it feels like it was executed as typical loud vs. not.

Took a few episodes to give it a chance, but it's not the same.

what the fuck do you MEAN you can evolve eevee into jolteon in gen 1 by getting into a trainer battle, levelling eevee up, switching to growlithe, and finishing the battle with growlithe, because growlithe's pokemon index is the same as thunder stone's item index. WHAT. WHATTT
