Note how the enquiry very rarely looks at the events during the second wave. First wave there was excuses as it hadn’t been seen before, second wave they knew what would happen and were weeks from a vaccine.

We might want to consider that a scary percentage of healthcare staff are over 50, many over 60 now. They are your experienced staff. If this is a clusterfuck you’re going to lose a lot of them as they throw up their hands and go “I’m too old for this shit.”

The responsibility is with the company that developed it but also the hospital that considered it safe to use, but ultimately health professionals are responsible in their code of conduct for their actions including the tools that they use. Thankfully I’m heading for retirement now so can choose.

It’s a bloody computer algorithm - the legal rights and responsibilities are with the company that developed it and the hospital and unfortunately health professional that uses it.
