It’s that time of year again.
This year my charity sketch sale is exclusive to BlueSky. I’ve got a smaller following here than on other social media channels, so I hope this works out! More details in the alt text.
I’ll be posting the first sketch this evening at 9pm (GMT). See you there?

Doodles for Hong Kong 🇭🇰

In response to the tragic Tai Po fire, I'm doing charity commissions. Anyone who puts over £25/250HKD into "Feeding Hong Kong" or Hong Kong SPCA can request a coloured doodle of any prehistoric animal 🙏

Ok I’ve just realised why many journalists can’t see through AI. It’s literally an automated journalist. It skims the evidence, doesn’t discriminate poor quality sources, misrepresents and cherry picks to support an argument and even makes stuff up to provide information for the hard of thinking.

So bloody much of this going on by all sides in politics. It’s corrosive because time and money that could be spent improving people’s lives gets wasted.

The left can be the better/worse as they believe their simplistic solutions rather than just thinking their voters will like them.

Jesus wept 🤦‍♀️. I saw this at the time but didn’t realise just how brave John Noakes was. When people talk about getting ride of health and safety I’m guessing they mean going back to this.
BBC just showed this video of John Noakes climbing Nelson’s column.
Wearing flared jeans and ordinary shoes, on a wooden ladder with no harness!

So we're slightly late to the party given that the big news dropped a month ago, but here's a full hour of the #TerribleLizards #Podcast where @iszi.com and I talk about #Nanotyrannus and what it all means for T. rex and tyrannosaur research going forwards. terriblelizards.libsyn.com/nanotyrannus
Terrible Lizards: Nanotyrannus or not?
The biggest news in palaeontology this year dropped just in time for us to miss it with last month’s episode but we’re giving it the full hour this time. The idea that there’s a miniature tyrannosaur ...

‘My vision for Twitter was always an army of foreign nationals monetising propaganda to influence US voters’, insists Elon Musk
After Twitter added a new feature that showed the locations of many high-profile, well-followed MAGA accounts to be outside the United States, Elon Musk has insisted this was his plan all along.

Really enjoyed Paladin of Souls by Lois McMaster Buchold. A book with a really good middle aged female protagonist is a rare thing. Stands alone but probably want to read The Curse of Chalion first #BookSky

The Kobo turned up. First impression was it’s tiny, but the screen is the same size as the kindle paperwhite, and the text seems just as clear with lots of adjustments possible, much more intuitive screen controls particularly screen dimming. Colour looks nice but not sure how much I’ll use it. 1/w

It’s proving hard to get this message out there, so if you could please repost this. 🙏

Ok so Swortdheart by @tkingfisher.com has come out in the UK today. It’s £9.99 on Kindle 😱. Anyone know if the author gets more money if I pay that much? Back to contemplating an alternative eReader (£7.99 on Kobo) - my hands don’t like physical books much and I don’t want to read on a iPad screen.
