Guys like Dolph, Frankie, Elias could still fill-in on the WWE main roster if you needed a name to pop the crowd once and work a decent match, idk if you could say the same about half the NXT roster.

I think NXT is the high-A and AA equivalent. It’s where anyone with any real talent potential is and likely makes the leap from when they’re ready, but you don’t have the old washouts who couldn’t stick are gonna bounce around and maybe cling to the 40-man roster, because that’s TNA.

There’s never been a more “TNA is WWE’s Triple-A equivalent than an image of Dolph and Frankie holding a trophy with a headline referencing Elias”. They don’t actually sign with TNA, they just get outrighted by WWE and remain in the org instead of risking actual free agency. It’s so weird. 🤼

Which seems to be her entire career, just book around the face she can’t work instead of making her better. She’s the modern day female equivalent of trying to book around Warrior. But at least Jim still has some charisma, Jade has seemed like she’s bored from day one.

Jade, Ricky, Mariah especially the type who should absolutely be moldable into top-shelf talent with the various tools they have if the Performance Center offered any type of actual development other than “look at hard cam, cut scripted promo, lather rinse repeat”.

I absolutely thought Jade had that it-factor, but just like Starks there was ultimately no depth in terms of character and her in-ring development and motor just never improved. Haven’t seen a single match from her in WWE, but it sounds and looks just like more of the same. Zero growth.

I just don’t understand how dudes like Gargano keep re-upping with a company where they peaked in a developmental territory when so many of their peers seem to be having the time of their lives putting on incredible, high-quality matches elsewhere.
