We were in Cavan yesterday,visiting an elderly realitive in a care home. Most residents would be conservative and not left leaning. None of them voted for Humphries, but a fair few have voted for Connolly, and it's largely thanks to the national press and the endless negative reporting.

It's sad that the best @heatherhumphries.bsky.social can do is lean into blatant smears against her rival. At this point it isn't just that Humphries lacks for candour, but her wilful disregard for truth calls her suitability to any public office into question.

@drivetime.bsky.social listening to presidential debate. Two pionts

1. There are male rape victims. I fear Heather is as ignorant of the fact as she is most social issues
2. Austerity was never justified. Any presidential candidate that can't grasp the fact isn't worthy of the position.
