Easily one of my favourite stories. I know we all grumble about the 7 parters, but this one I think does it best, with the inclusion of the parallel world. Douglas Camfield’s (and Barry Letts’) direction is of course top and it’s just a great closure to Season 7.

I’ve always struggled to know what to think of this story. Obviously, industrial action hindered some of it, plus the Vardans and Sontarans are disappointing, but what I do know is that I hate Tom’s costume. Always been my least favourite variant, especially in this story, scarf is just too thick.
